I love listening to your podcast'sss's on airplanes.

It's like I'm having lunch with you guys except I am real high in the sky (like a butterfly *Levar Burton/Reading Rainbow Dap*) and it's a lot of days later, a totally different time of day and shit.

I guess what I am trying to say is that your show gives me denim lumber.

Thanks everyone.

Jason, you can definitely look for us on TF2. That game is terrific. I think we'll be playing that for a long time to come.

Maelstrom, we use an <a href="http://www.amazon.com/Olympus-DS-30-Digital-Voice-Recorder/dp/B000MSDL6K/ref=pd_bbs_sr_1/104-4025037-4376715?ie=UTF8&s=electronics&qid=1192393645&sr=8-1" rel="nofollow">Olympus DS-30</a>. The thing is pretty amazing for its size and price.

Hey guys love the podcast. I don't know if this is the proper venue but I didn't see an email address for questions. The quality of your sound is very good. I'm looking for a digital voice recorder and wondered what you use?. Thanks.

Guys,

I am a long time listener and enjoy the podcast. I like the originality of recording at lunch.

I tend to agree about Halo 3. The campaign (single player or co-op) is competent, wrapping up the story but isn't anything exceptional. The ability to create in Forge and create custom games is where its at for me. I downloaded canvas maps (blank) from bungie.net and have created some fun games. This is what is going to give Halo 3 legs for the long term. The ability to record/watch games and file share is gravy. I think Halo 3 is a good game, but I still like Rainbow Six: Vegas better. I will also be getting into Team Fortress 2.

Keep up the great Entertainment!

Brilliant intro!

Your HALO talk was dead on. I had a similar experiance with the HAOL 2 midnight launch. Got there around 10:30 pm; the preorder line was 200+ strong and increasing by the second. I had to wait in the NON-preorder line in about 15th place. They let both lines in at exactly the same time at midnight. Gotta love gamestop.

The last time I saw Dave Halverson cringe, one of the seventeen year olds on his staff was getting knocked out in the early rounds of a Street Fighter tournament, at Capcom's E3 '97 booth. It was only a moderate cringe; he liked to keep lots of seventeen year olds on his staff.

You're totally right. At the time we recorded, I had played four chapters--all of which were pretty slow and uninspired, IMO. However, the pace picks up like a mother and chapter 7 is completely sublime.* All of which makes it even more tragic that chapter 8 is an absolute failure.

*This gushing applies strictly to co-op. Singleplayer stiill bores me horribly.

I just finished Mission 3 of Halo 3 and the levels have gotten progressively better since the first. Even though it still feels like just more Halo, it's still pretty awesome. I'm a casual gamer, far from a Halo fanboy or anything, but you can't say that the single player is BAD because it isn't, it's pretty damn good. Also, don't discount that the game OFFERS 4 player co-op, because it IS a big fucking deal, and part of the reason that the "overall package" gets a 10.

I do agree that so far the single player isn't mind-blowing/revolutionary/etc, and the way it was marketed made it seem as if it would be so. I also agree that they played it as SAFE as SAFE can be, and that's slightly disappointing, but, still a great game. Even with my jaded self, playing through the game trying to find flaw, I have to admit that I've had FUN, and that's what it's all about.
